This policy describes how Ostra collects, processes and protects your personal data when you use the ostra-tech.fr website, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act.

1. Data controller

2. Data collected

When you fill in the sign-up form on the site, we only collect your email address.

No other personal data is collected without your knowledge. The site does not place any audience-measurement or advertising cookies.

3. Purpose of processing

Your email address is collected for a single purpose: to keep you informed of Ostra news, notably the product launch, new features and company-related events.

Your data is never used for third-party commercial purposes, nor sold, nor transferred to marketing partners.

4. Legal basis

Processing of your email address relies on your free, specific, informed and unambiguous consent (Article 6.1.a of the GDPR), expressed by voluntarily signing up via the form.

You can withdraw this consent at any time using the methods described in section 7.

5. Storage duration

Your email address is stored as long as your subscription is active, and at most 3 years after your last interaction with our communications (open, click) or after your unsubscription.

After that period, your data is permanently deleted.

6. Recipients and processors

Your data is processed internally by Ostra and by the following technical processors, strictly bound contractually:

  • Google LLC (United States), hosting of the sign-up form via Google Forms and temporary storage of responses in Google Sheets. This transfer outside the European Union is framed by the Data Privacy Framework (DPF), a transfer mechanism deemed adequate by the European Commission since July 2023.
  • Scaleway SAS (France), hosting of the website on servers located within the European Union. No data is transferred outside the EU for site hosting.

No other third party has access to your data.

7. Your rights

In accordance with the GDPR, you have the following rights over your personal data at any time:

  • Right of access: confirm that your data is being processed and obtain a copy
  • Right of rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten"): request the deletion of your data
  • Right to object: object at any time to the processing
  • Right to restriction: request the suspension of processing
  • Right to portability: receive your data in a structured, reusable format
  • Right to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing

Ostra implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction.

10. Changes

This policy may evolve. Any substantial change will be communicated to you and the current version will always be accessible from the site footer.
